Our suppliers: Cisa
Founded in Florence in 1926 by Luigi Bucci, the CISA (Costruzioni Italiane Serrature e Affini) brand immediately became known thanks to the
patent for the first electro-controlled lock revolutionizing the principle of operating gates and doors.
The range of security products and solutions has since gradually expanded to include mechanical, electric and electronic locks, European cylinders,
panic bars, door closers, safes and padlocks, and more recently access control systems and solutions. Established in 1990 to test CISA products, since December 2014 it has obtainedEuropean Accreditation N.1495L. The laboratory deals with.
testing for product development and certification, mainly for Allegion, but also on behalf of third-party companies, to which it guarantees utmost impartiality and complete confidentiality. The most recent investment for the CISA testing lab was the purchase of a
anechoic chamber for measuring electromagnetic waves emitted by electronic devices, according to the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) 2014/53/EU and formerly R&TTE 1999/5/EC. The new instrumentation enables laboratory control of electromagnetic emissions to protect human health and the environment. All CISA products are certified on environmental sustainability with EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations), verified and registered documents that communicate transparent and comparable information on a product’s life cycle/production and environmental impact at various stages. Such certificates respond to the need to produce goods that protect our planet’s resources and have an increasingly reduced impact on the environment; the locks, hardware, handles and other accessories manufacturers sector has also strongly wanted to get active in this European-wide work.
